A few things are worth keeping for twenty years. A handful of services treat their patrons as patrons. A small number of materials still bear the names of who made them, and how. We collect those, slowly. We write about them at length, revise when our understanding deepens, and remove an entry when its maker abandons its standards. The shelf does not need to be large to do its work.
